Weekend Bliss

The homecoming for the family was quite nice. They arrived home somewhat after 9:00 pm, and all three boys were excitedly telling me about their trip, all at the same time. It's hard to manage three conversations at the same time, and I'm sure I did a wonderfully poor job of it. I helped The Baby with the potty, and I took a careful look at his legs. His right knee, indeed, looked a bit swollen compared with the left. Interestingly, he was able to crawl for a little while, like a baby.

The kids finally settled down around 10:30; they slept a bit in the car, and the trip back was around nine hours because of nasty traffic around Philadelphia. The next morning, The Boy was downstairs after my workout was over, but everybody else was asleep by the time I left for work.

I left work early Friday afternoon: The Wife had a voice lesson at Rodef, then she was singing services. The boys and I went to a aground for a little while, then to dinner at Eat N Park (courtesy of The Wife's winnings at the casino), then back home to quartet practice.

This morning, when The Wife went to sing at services, the boys and I played with Legos, then bought The Wife's birthday presents (no spoilers, because she may read this before tomorrow), then to the park for batting practice.

It's kind of awkward to do stuff with all three children because of The Baby's injury. He can limp for short distances, but that's about it. We stayed for about twenty minutes or so, until he got frustrated. The boys do a decent job hitting, for sure.

This afternoon is a nice, easy afternoon. I'm really looking forward to a nap, then we'll go to Big Lots for their 20% off sale. Then we'll go to Sandcastle for a couple of hours, then home. Maybe we'll watch a movie tonight. Nice and boring.
